Governments adopting Bitcoin is good thing for the society at large, otherwise it's just an anarchist circle jerk where only the Bitcoin hodlers benefit because NGU while normies continue to suffer.

Anarchy doesn’t mean what you think it means.

The state and the Bitcoin cannot co exist together.

Infact it’s the other way around. The slave owners are going to be around longer because they get to acquire cheap sats.

It’s funny because folks actively cheer for it 😂

The state is NOT a benevolent entity.

The way to win is use Bitcoin as money without the state being part of the txn. Circular local economies. P2P.

self custodying it (not keeping it in a state honeypot )

Away from kyc it or other state bs.

Ok, we agree on the slaying heroes part and running a node part.

The state is not some magical entity. It's made up of people. I hate the state in it's current form. The state's actions are bad, because the money is broken. Fix the money, fix the state.

Not wanting an actor you dislike to not use Bitcoin is a slippery slope. If I dislike gays - should I not want them to use Bitcoin? Or should I say - "I don't like them but they're welcome to use Bitcoin." Isn't that hypocritical to advocate for an open protocol but having preferences on who should use it and who shouldn't?

I hate the state too in its current form but Bitcoin will not end the state, investments, corporations or banks. Even OG cypherpunks live in the practical world not some libertarian utopia. A Bitcoiner is anyone who agrees to the consensus - not wanting 'some' actors to join the network beats the whole purpose of an open network.

Being early to Bitcoin gives an opinion no extra weightage.

It’s a good practice to be ready to slay anyone.

The worst thing we can do as proponents of a decentralized system(Bitcoin) is to seek comfort/refuge in aligning with the views of “thought leaders/ influencooors”.

A “Bitcoiner” doesn’t mean anything; And also everything at the same time, depending on who you ask.

To me it’s simply self custodying and running a node.

you seem to be conflating the idea of “wanting” or “stopping” something, it isn’t the case.

the original topic of the conversation is/was whether celebrating the state doing something is worthwhile.

And since you mentioned your hate for the state. Celebrating it is either hypocritical and/or dishonest.

Roger Ver was a problem because he tried to change the consensus rules.

Govts today are bending the knee to our consensus rules.

Bitcoin use should be encouraged by everyone as long as they play by the agreed upon consensus rules.

Consensus is supreme - users can come and go, Bitcoin is strictly opt in.
