I'd love to be at #Nostrica in person, but can still be there in spirits! Who's got a favorite tropical drink recipe? Here's a Rum Runner recipe to get it started. I didn't have any blackberry liqueur, so substituted extra banana liqueur and actual blackberries. Tag #cocktails and #pvcocktails with your favorites!
Rum Runner
(note that all liquids are the same proportion, so should convert to ml easily)
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz orange juice
1 oz blackberry liqueur
1 oz banana liqueur
1 oz light rum
1 oz dark rum
1 splash grenadine syrup (to taste)
1 oz high-proof white rum (like Bacardi®151)
1 slice orange
1 cherry
Put some ice in a shaker and add the pineaple juice, orange juice, blackberry liqueur, banana liqueur, light and dark rums, and the grenadine. Shake it up (baby). Pour through a strainer into a glass filled with ice. Add the high-proof rum as a floater and trim with the orange slice and cherry.
