I never liked sewing. Not into threads, no instagram either. The FOMO of a shiny object is real . I jumped to BluSky. It’s eh, doesn’t remind me of the old twitter days but it’s good for a moment or two. Not what I am looking for. This roll out of threads let’s me see who’s really into and wanting the principles of decentralization and such. Interesting to watch. Threads will be immensely successful only because now the instagram peeps are tied to threads, delete one, the other goes too. Let’s see the level of engagement in 90 days and will it be instagram or threads or both. I ask who owns ActivityPub protocol?? The Fediverse? Just my thoughts.
Seems shiny objects are all around. Threads? And now people are running over there. I’m just looking for my mojo and decentralized as much as possible. Especially since Blackrock is now open about their Bitcoin intentions Threads? Nope.

Initially, I didn’t understand what most posts were about here and on Damus. However, after a lot of reading and learning, and seeing dev talk turn into more social stuff I see this may be a fabulous opportunity to be able to feel less like left behind and more understanding what’s happening in the world, be a part of it rather than be an old one who retreats. Thanks for letting me join.
