Beefsteak CEO and stuff. Charming as heck. Mid-brow. You can and should ask me cooking questions.

I’m old enough to remember when I coulda signed this check over for a full beer.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that a beefsteak is a Bitcoin event.

theory: socialization is the main reason people go to bitcoin events.

I have never heard a person say “I came to hear ____ speak.”

They came to hang out.

Brick and mortar bitcoin spaces and to a lesser extent meetups, have satisfied urban the need to socialize.

Conferences have tragically failed at shifting with the market.

No one cares about speakers. (unless they’re shitcoiners - then they care.)

If it’s not simple, fun in a special way and filled with great bitcoiners - less and less people will come.

TIL that that if you spend an hour waiting to talk the irs on the phone that they will not tell you what will happen if u do a thing.

They will not answer a question.

They will only search the irs website and tell you to read what the answer might be.

The further one gets into bitcoin - the more ones hates other people managing risk for them.

Tell me what you think the fucking risk is and let me decide.

I’m most fascinated by areas and people from which AI is sucking value at an accelerating pace.

In particular doctors and lawyers.

but also software developers.

I know multiple software devs working two full time jobs from home rn.

As they increasingly use AI to write code that they review and debug.

Each of these devs talks about how must do so in secret because it’s frowned upon to use AI in the community.

I wonder which doctors and lawyers are doing the same.

I might have a glass of wine with lunch.

Every damn thing is your own fault if you’re any good.
