The most important right that a human being has is not freedom of speech...it's the right to say "no" to your government and leaders.
When the individual wakes up to that fact, he becomes the most dangerous person in that country, because if that mindset infects others, it means the regime is weakening.
The word "no" is a weapon of mass destruction for those that seek compliance.
Just look around, there is nothing really being said here. Just bitcoin cheerleaders. I'm a bitcoiner, but educating, innovation and noncompliance to the status quo should be a main theme. Sharing ideas, discussions about controversial topics, challenges to offical narratives etc.I just don't want to see nostr become another Twitter.

I agree, unfortunately truth also demands knowledge. Most of the populace are ignorant to what's going on out here on any issue and are simply relying on belief. They have hope in saviors, but don't understand that our ignorance and compliance is the power that fuels the system against us.

Why is who your supporting a private matter?
Why don't #democrats and #Republicans themselves, make time to discuss the issues, because they affect us all.
They ban political speech at work and most people don't discuss anything in public settings.
Family members don't speak to each other about politics, so how do "we the people" accomplish anything?
How do we keep them in check?
How do we know if they are playing both sides against the middle?
We can't, because they have made #voting a private matter.

We must start to have open discussions, the people these elections hurt are you and I.
If a #politician doesn't get elected, they just go into the corporate world, none of them care about you.
It would have to start with a mental consensus to push for a common goal.
My statement is first dealing with the fact that to me platforms like nostr should be mostly populated by doers that are having open discussions about change, that can't be had on other censored platforms. Right now it seems like it is being used by the same crowd that populated those sites.
What's the point of free speech if you aren't saying anything worth censoring.
We can't mobilize without planning and without knowing who is who. An army must be trained and focused, I may have ideas, you may have ideas, but who is listening, who is ready to act.
I dont think one post is enough to communicate entire ideas, as we should build upon ideas and grow from there.
If we were simply dealing with clowns, there wouldn't be a threat...as silly as their sentiments may be, this becoming very serious and will soon be at your front door.
This platform should be used to mobilize the knowledgeable and to inform those that are asleep. The time for utilizing free speech for criticism is over, soon you will only be allowed to sing only their songs, and any missed lyric will have consequences.
