Bitcoin will fix this race to the bottom. But "bitcoiners" still can't get rid of this notion of free. They demand low fees, unlimited block space, self custody without responsibility, the list goes on.
Forget Karen mentality. Learn about tradeoffs and internalize proof-of-work. In a bitcoin future you will need it.

# Bitcoin Troubleshoot
I started the development of a [nostr client](https://github.com/Pleb5/bitcoin-troubleshoot). It is a project in its infancy but will become usable/testable soon enough. It will aim to create a P2P marketplace for bitcoiners to help each other troubleshoot issues of Self-Custody.
We can't rely solely on centralized entities to help Bitcoiners marching towards freedom as the state is cracking down on sovereign bitcoin usage. We need global peer-to-peer marketplaces that solve problems with true free market incentives.
Nostr is creating a more freedom-oriented internet that unlocks this potential that has been kept hostage by the corrupt fiat internet ecosystem.

We are just getting a taste of what's coming.
Everyone better start digging into P2P solutions to replace these honeypots.
When you think about introducing people to bitcoin consider this:
Most people are not lazy and ignorant. They just respond to incentives.
Time is the scarcest resource we have. So we tend to ignore most things until we must turn our attention to an issue.
You can't rush them into understanding. Time will come when they open up.
Or not. Either way: You can't get people really embrace something they haven't already accepted 95%.
Focus on the open-minded.
I believe in the "gradually then suddenly" narrative of bitcoin adoption.
My only concern is:
Will I be ready to practice Self-Custody in a really adverse environment?
Reality can catch you off-guard if you underestimate the task at hand.
Keep studying Self-Custody. It's __the__ essential skill you will need when "suddenly" happens.
The most important message of the Bitcoin ETF is:
1. Don't buy it
2. Don't care about it
It's simple as that.

Just like his other books: A masterpiece and a must-read for all bitcoiners.
Personal conclusions:
1. Free market capitalism eventually wins
2. Bitcoin is the proof of this
3. One of the most honorable things to work on today is open protocols and open source software, combined with bitcoin
That's exactly what I'm gonna do.

Fiat money is a technology built by dubious people, with questionable design choices.
This results in an unreliable, shaky system of frequent crashes, careening to a fatal meltdown.
Nevertheless, my family and friends still ask me why they would ever trust bitcoin.
My answer: Learn about money and how it matters to all mankind. Don't start at the criticism. Start at understanding the basics. Formulate your own questions. Study history and the present narratives.
If they are not interested, you can't "help" them. Show your attitude, set an example. Proof of Work speaks louder than words.
