Are my wife and I the only people who thought Dune 1 was a 1000x better, and couldn't bring ourselves to even finish watching Dune 2?

Tomorrow evening, from 7-10PM, my 3 teenaged sons will be at a dance that's being hosted by our church, and I'm helping out by chaperoning.

I'm bringing my laptop and projector, and plan to display Timechain Calendar on a wall there, as we count down (or up) to the halving.

It's cool this is in the New York Times and all, but we're not "hoping" for anything.

It's simply supply and demand.

As long as #Bitcoin keeps doing what it does (which it will, since I'm not changing the code, and neither are you), demand will at least remain the same, but it could increase.

And new supply is getting cut in half.

Some blocks within a difficulty period will be found in mere ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜€, while others will take an hour or more. But zoomed-out, they tend to take about 10 minutes.

The exact time of the halving is gradually getting later, as miners turn off their machines and aim for a 4/20 halving.

Personally, I wouldn't mind this time of the day in my time zone, either.

My children (the older 5, not my 3 month old) were recently debating about whether to watch October Sky, Arrival, or Apollo 13 together, as a way to wrap up our family eclipse party. They're all a bunch of nerds, and I love them for it!

They're watching Arrival right now.

Some have told me that the sky is a giant dome that's like a movie theater screen, where God can show literally anything He wants.

Why He would only choose to show us a bright light, a dimer and regularly-changing light, and tons of tiny lights, and not, you know, words or pictures, would be a mystery to me.

If this were true, then it seems to me that God would be the one doing the psyop, not NASA.
