This is a good thing actually. We should prefer a stable protocol and featureset. I really dislike the "move fast and break things" mentality.
I don't want things to break because some asshole decided they wanted to add a new shitfart feature, from a user perspective I like what I currently have.
I do prefer XMPP's approach over the Fediverse tho. You know, with an actual standards foundation defining RFCs instead of every project just kinda doing their own thing?
nostr:npub1c4vv0nrfh0drcfchs2mndw4uvjkd9k393v20x4kme2txev9hhz0qw4cqk7 Who wrote this pointless bot? You really think removing tracking information from youtube links is gonna do shit? If you actually care about youtube not tracking you would instead be linking us to some kind of proxy frontend like invidious.

I am happy to see that the death of Kabosu is considered big enough that it makes the front page of our national news.

Hello fedi admins, it seems that cdrom.tokyo has some issues and its timelines seem to be several hours behind. How do I go about fixing this?

nostr:npub1sa250gy2aq6gnnl5f92f5wzgcy94z5y050s2y0fcw6h3868n0fhshvjgrv I think GTA Sanandreas is actually one of the most deranged games to speedrun.
The leaderboard is very competitive, but It still an over 3 hour speedrun with tons of super technical and very inconsistent tricks involved.

This means that if they pull an exit scam you will not lose your money.

I got fired from my job this friday.

Louis Rossmann released an app called "Grayjay" today, and he deceivingly calls his app "open source" in his video talking about the app.
The license he is actually using for his app is nonfree, noncommercial and has many restrictions. It is nothing more than "source available", which is not even a real term or movement at best.
Louis' organisation Futo gives grants to many free software projects like Peertube, GIMP and Blender and also the Free Software Foundation itself.
I am very disappointed in this decision because especially someone like Louis knows better than this and should really set a better example.

Making money with free software is very straight forward. You just sell the software (selling copies) or you sell hours like I do, as in clients pay me an hourly rate to develop custom software for them.
