Call me a dreamer if you must, but it would be really helpful if some of you in the tech press would pen an article that is much less about the X.wars, and more about how the fediverse is about far more than just Mastodon, and promises a new era of web openness allowing folks access to a whole new world of apps, integrations, diversity, and maybe even a little common decency for good measure.

If you’ve never seen it, “Justified” is about southern white trash outlaws and sociopaths always at war with the U.S. Government and each other. Yes, it’s about the Republican party. But not on purpose.
My neighbor the contractor (and fishing boat captain) assures me his friend will be by today to install my new split air conditioner for just “3 to 4 hundred.” In fishing tours dollars, that feels like it’s gonna be more like 5 or 6 hundred. Oh well, at least it will be for 18,000 BTUs at 230 volts. I am promised meat locker temperatures in here.
It’s only going to be 90° today in South Florida, the Google lady tells me. This is great news. I may strap on the shoes, grab some poles, and venture outside for the 2nd time in a week.

I’d argue that it’s guaranteed to get worse. Voting is the preferred method of change as a first resort. But it could be national suicide to assume it’s our only or last resort.

Just tested it. You can throw away those crappy pill cutters that always make a mess. This design is perfect. It has a template for every popular pill shape. Drop your oblong pill in the right template, and bang! Perfectly centered cut. Cheap, too. Worth every penny.
