Migrated to @thj.

writing books is something i kind of want to do. i know i have clean language and can tell a story. but it's a big task to write one, and you have to stay organised. i'm not sure how to pull that off with ADHD. i don't respond well to meds, so i don't take those and have to manage in other ways.

it takes two to dance the tango but i have three legs and this complicates things somewhat

there are three rules in ADHD club. the first one is never concentrate. i forgot the two others.

Thor temporarily cat pillow - sorry for the inconvenience, but not sorry, says the cat

ADHD club: now that we're all gathered here, let's get absolutely nothing done

there's the kind of #ADHD where you go around doing all sorts of risky shit and then there's the kind where you're just a big daydreamer and messyhead. i belong to the latter category, so i'm fairly harmless like that. but also ineffective, because nothing ever gets done. i just get lost in my own thoughts.

if i wrote a book on how to be awkward, it would be quite long

based on how random many business executive decisions are, i'm fairly convinced that a good number of them might have ADHD. but also confidence and some luck.

you're typically told to just grind through things, hang in there, etc, as a kind of encouragement.

for #ADHD people, this is basically an anti-encouragement, because we don't have the mental endurance. that's a major part of what ADHD is. it can really limit your ability to work.

you sort of need a stroke of luck in life if you have it and want to make it.

this need for all change to be dramatic is probably one of the reasons people with #ADHD are prone to taking risks - because it's the one way that gives them the power to get stuff done

when you've got #ADHD, fixing your life "one step at a time" is one of the hardest things to do - change has to be big and fix stuff now or it doesn't happen at all
