idea: publish the underground magazine Meme Magazine - you can get them on the Internet, sure, but here's this week's memes collected in one place and also there is amusement value in simply owning a copy

wouldn't mind Linux but without the morality lessons. i guess that's what BSD is for but it's not super practical for everyday use unless you do like Apple and build an entire new ecosystem on top of it

having opinions on capitalism is complex because those evil shareholders you hear so much about are often retirement funds and they look for steady profits because if they don't, old people are going to lose their homes, so they don't have the luxury of screwing around. you picture Mr. Burns but it's more like your grandma. the evil geriatrics who suck your blood.

even if it's free of charge, you're always paying with something, such as your time and energy. as a young person, you have an abundance of energy that you can spend on doing hard things. you need to ration it a little more as you get older. some people are energetic until they die but the reason you hear about those people is because they're exceptional and this isn't the norm.

a business is an enterprise one undertakes, and one can undertake the enterprise of charity. and business is the same as errands.

charity is a business model

reading Dostoevsky while pigging out on cheese puffs and beer

we've designed a world where there's nothing fun to do in a city unless you're a high earner. i want to live in ragged chaos city and be a street photographer there.

it's a bit like when i go to downtown Oslo and most of the restaurants there are for people who have more money than me, because serving food to poor people isn't a very good business model unless you're McDonalds.

also, "Android friendly" is a thing because iOS users are known for being more willing to pay for stuff. you can easily have a successful app without ever making an Android version, so why bother?

not releasing a Linux version of your game is a business decision - what else would it be? when it starts making sense financially, they'll do it. simple as that. 3% of the computer market can safely be ignored. macOS doesn't fare much better.

i don't even know how to get berserker.town added to the server lists that clients use, but i reckon they only include the most popular servers anyway
