Migrated to @thj.

but to be honestly, that's an astonishingly accurate chart in terms of predicting busts and booms.

we are entering extraordinary times at the moment though. while the weather has affected the world history before, it hasn't done so on the scale we see now for a very long time. we've triggered changes that usually occur on geological time scales in a century.

i'm not expecting the next few decades to be very peaceful.

people are born and they explode into a frenzy of activity and then they realise they were panicking the entire time so they calm down and end up doing nothing in particular

is everything everyone ever did just a panic attack or

i'm taking care of myself on some level

hanging onto life

there is a degree of optimism there, because if there wasn't, i wouldn't be here

all the arrows point in the opposite direction of this optimism but i guess i'm a bit stubborn

i am not motivated to do jack shit unless somebody's with there to do it with me

my home usually does not feature anybody.

their service is to provide a person who will go "hey Thor, let's get started"

once a week.

i should learn to not devote more attention to people than they're giving me back.

to elaborate on this welfare system pro tip: suppose you lack documentation for a fact, but you had in-person meetings with person X in the welfare system about it over an extended period of time.

for lack of hard evidence, a person within the system who has talked to you can confirm that you've been saying the same thing for a long time, and that can help quite a lot.

they trust it more when another person than you says it. that's psychology, so use it to your advantage.

pro tip for people who unfortunately have to navigate the welfare system in #Norway:

when you need to get different parts of the system to work together, make sure you know the names and phone numbers of your contacts in it so you can put them in direct touch with each other when needed.

"insufficient balance" is the least fun error message ever

sat on the balcony when i spotted this little thing

my type is women who aren't very outgoing, so we will never meet. 🤷‍♂️
