If dollar inflation is > 15% over the term of the loan you win plus you get the collateral back, including btc price appreciation. It's a good deal if you don't get rugged.
Risk-adjusted...maybe not such a good deal. But that's the rub. How do you really know what the risk is?
OK sure but then you don't have a dollar short position. The advantage of a btc backed loan is that you can pay dollars to get your bitcoin back at the end of the loan term. The interest rate is brutal tho. You need a lot of inflation to make the numbers work and the custodial risk is 💀.
Arch is another provider. Single sig custodial w/ similar interest rate. Newish company, hasn't been thru a full cycle yet. Maybe 16% apr.

IIRC they are planning to build a variety of form factors including heating appliances. Current ASIC manufacturing caters exclusively to data centers. You can look at the rapidly growing ASIC cottage industry to get a preview of the market demand.
