I upgraded but I ran into the following error:
No algorithms, just new posts as they happen from the relays that you are connected to. Some clients like iris do employ spam reduction measures to see relevant posts.

Self restriction by blocks and mutes and relay operators need to moderate content. More tools and techniques are definitely needed for easy relay moderation, but they are there.
Like blacklisting pubkeys, adding rate limits, IP blacklist… etc

At the moment clients also broadcast to other relays in the relay list.
Nothing prevents it but I think most relays and relay implementations right now don’t do it, but new implementation forwarding relays do exist like

You can run your own relay to prevent censorship if other relays blacklist your pubkey. You can then share your relay with others so that they can see your notes. Eventually other relays will also see your notes from your relay as clients broadcast it.
