Continuing this little series of videos designed to inspire model-builders and sci-fi fans. To avoid boring the new and very welcome subscribers to this channel we want to provide more variety in our uploads, including a few tutorials and finished storyline episodes, so this little run of model spaceships is stopping here at number 4. There'll still be some slideshows of AI art though so keep watching. At the end of this video there are a few shots of our first go at text-to-video on Runway ML which was interesting and will probably be fantastic if not expensive in about a year. We're looking to focus on "real" VFX using greenscreen and models which will hopefully be more fun for our subscribers.

This is a theoretical analysis of the paths countries have available to them beginning with Africa. Unapologetically optimistic? Perhaps, but here at 21st Century Mouse we believe continuous doom predictions aren't the best motivators for progress. Is 76 years long enough for such progress to occur? A follow-up to last week's video featuring the "AI virtual studio", intended as just a relaxing slideshow for model builders when they're worn out from creating stuff. It's not everyone's cup of tea but there aren't many new behind-the-scenes photos like these coming out of Hollywood nowadays, everything is digital. Our animatronic robot "The Electromechanoid: MOUSE" has had a voice change because I don't like my own voice which I've used as his for 25 years, so we're trying out a new sound for him. All our videos are just tests so far while we figure out how to combine our practical stuff with AI, but we sincerely hope you enjoy what we're trying to do and hope you'll help our new channel grow by subscribing. More practical FX are in the pipeline as are tutorials so we'll be aiming to provide value for your subscription.

This video features a quick clip of our animatronics followed by a slideshow intended for model-makers who grew up intensely staring at photos of the ILM model shop and other skilled artisans as they made the spacecraft of our dreams. I thought it would be an interesting test of Midjourney AI to use prompts which combined my own skills and experience of model-building with the system's ability to create work environments. I don't expect it to get many views but I'm happy to post it if only for my own inspiration.

It is also nice to see stuff that isn't promoting the massive franchises currently in their winter years. I hope someone else finds this video relaxing and inspiring.

"The Electromechanoid" features our main animatronic robot, now over 25 years old, and our skeletal dinosaur which is 14. The test video was filmed using an android phone with a combination of green screen photography and real sets. Some background images were created in Midjourney including Scarlett our digital avatar. Her creation included using ElevenLabs and D-ID. The optical compositing was done on VFX in Blender. Other programs used include Clipchamp for editing. I'll try to compile a tutorial video ASAP on how I did the post-production work. Many thanks to my wife for all her hard work on this little project.
