Reason number 74689 why progressives should be into #bitcoin if they’re not already:
Let’s say Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis becomes the next president, congress is stacked with right wing republicans etc. Let’s say they target groups you typically support like Trevor Project or planned parenthood because they view them as extremist domestic terrorist orgs or harmful to youth. They go after their banking relationships, status as a nonprofit, work with states to restrict their work or restrict you from donating in a number of ways. Now, I don’t believe this will happen, but the fact is it could because we put our trust in a system and people that change (look to the other side with what happened to the Canadian truckers, regardless of your views). Bitcoin would be a way to get funds to these groups, and done the right way could be private & censorship resistant.
