Deactivating Facebook for just a few weeks reduces belief in fake news. Facebook-Instagram algorithms have a history of amplifying polarizing misinformation to American voters because this makes Facebook-Instagram more money per whistleblowers. This has been going on for at least 8 years and while Facebook-Instagram has promised many times to improve, it seems they have done nothing significant to change their algorithms from manipulating American voters. 🇺🇸
