An interesting study showing patients who had a history of stroke that used a reduced-sodium, added-potassium salt substitute had a lower risk of recurrent stroke versus patients who continued to use regular salt. This seems to be related to a reduction in blood pressure. Important is the messaging to patients of reduced salt diet versus added potassium salt substitute diet.
