Hey, I just sent you a tip of 20 Nostracoin.
Nostracoin can be used to record your nostr events in the blockchain.
You might want to do that because
1. It is censorship resistant
2. Timestamps your note
3. Never drops your note
You can check your balance or view Nostr at https://nostraco.in
Let me know if you need some #Nostracoin to play around with. Reply here.
I haven't lied to you. Maybe you'd like to rephrase your question more politely!
More great questions, thanks!
I noticed you had used the site, so I tipped you.
It's still very early, so not much documentation yet.
To allow people to record their events permanently in the blockchain.
It's a rating to guess at whether it is a real and valuable user or a bot.
There's no block explorer yet, but you can run a Nostracoin node and query the blockchain directly if you like -> https://gitlab.com/nostracoin/nostracoin
It's a public blockchain!
Nostr is an open protocol so no approval is required.
I cannot see your private key!
The Nostracoin blockchain.
The objective is to give users a way to permanently record and publish their Nostr events at low cost.
No.
Everyone.
I noticed you had logged onto the site.
If you log into Nostraco.in with a private key, your events will be recorded in the Nostracoin blockchain.
Yes.
No. Its related to Nostr.
It's called Nostracoin because it is used to record Nostr events on the blockchain. I don't know what those other guys know!
No. Nostracoins only use is to pay for recording Nostr events in the blockchain.
There is a crowdfunding for nostr client that supports monero https://bounties.monero.social/posts/94/12-000m-nostr-client-for-monero
Interesting. I imagine it would be possible to combine a nostr web client with a monero web wallet like https://wallet.mymonero.com/ to do this.
Nostracoin is a different crypto to BTC, so Nostracoin sats are not the same as BTC sats. Sat is generally used to refer to the smallest unit on any crypto coin - so you could have Litecoin sats, Dogecoin sats etc. They're all different.
The web wallet is self custodial, but you can send them to any other wallet, yes.
No AI or Cyborg working on this project yet, AFAIK.
Thanks for reporting the problem you experienced. It's pretty new, so there will, no doubt, be some problems. If you're logging in with your private key, it should give you the full interface and access to your Nostracoin wallet on the Wallet page (hamburger menu in top right). If it's giving you a blank page, that sounds like a bug. Can you give me more details, a screenshot maybe, were you logging in with your nsec?
>5) I wanted to zap you from my Alby LN account but you seem to have no address. Please know that I appreciate your work and you reaching to me in this way. I would like to send some sats to you.
Thanks for the thought, but I find Lightning to be an exercise in frustration and I do not use it. Tip me some Nostracoin instead!
Not if you choose your own mod. Every gets a customized view of the community based on the mods they follow.
If a mod goes rogue, it doesn't ruin the community, you just switch out the mod.
Think of moderation as like a filter. You get to choose your filter.
Sort of. It's more democratic, but you get to choose your own mod, even if noone else chooses them. It's opt-in moderation.
Yes, but that wouldn't confer any advantage to them. It's only if other users choose them as a mod that they have any effect.
