The edition is not perfect.

But I made a tutorial on how to buy a Blockstream Jade wallet using L-USDt to have a extra 10% discount.

The way used to enter on Liquid network was using Boltz with a swap LN ->L-BTC.

This the tutorial nostr post

nostr:nevent1qqsdmgpxf637xvqnggkscc8yqnrv3943ts6l6hp2lqe07x0wrkwalhqppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0ru6euy

The video is hosted on lightning.video a good solution for content creators that supports LN.

https://lightning.video/fc82a5643f0808728a3c07784e54196b686e20d89038d92e7782053aac59bfcc

It the last post of that thread is the WoS being used to make the swap LN->L-BTC on boltz.

nostr:nevent1qqsq02a8kegg3h0usqw33vc3qsznd9wprqqzrgq4e5php7atxyjnyzqppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0wcehm5

I could have joined both videos. The one recorded on desktop and the one the mobile phone.

But I didn't.

But comparing both videos it is possible to see that boltz swap code is the same that the one that appears on WoS camera.

What makes Jade so secure?

The #BlockstreamJade encrypts your wallet data on device - then forgets the secret needed to decrypt it! Many #Bitcoin hardware wallets function similarly but use an on-device secure element to store the extra secret.

With Jade, your extra secret is off-device with a blind oracle, decentralizing your security & acting like a virtual secure element. The only way to get it back? Enter your correct PIN.

This makes the Jade unique in that there is nothing to steal from the locked device alone.

One of the advantages of using LUKS+LVM installation images created in virtual machines.

It's a encrypted portable installation.

It can be restored in any storage size device with more size than the image itself.

I used a 32GB USB stick. But I could used 64GB/128GB or even external hard drives with TB.

And used LVM to fill the entire storage available.

So this allow to run a portable linux distro with your #BlockstreamJade #Bitcoin Hardware Wallet in a large option of storage devices with different storage capacity. That will work in most hardware out there. Even in computers with legacy BIOS.

I run my #BlockstreamJade #Bitcoin Hardware Wallet on a Ubuntu installation on a 32 USB stick. It is the USB stick on the previous image side by side with Jade.

This is a guide on how to install Ubuntu on a USB stick.

This is a more general guide that should work in any linux distro

And step by step guide for Debian with images

https://github.com/maximusmaximalistus/bitcoin-articles/blob/main/0003_debian-03.md

I usually install the distro in a virtual machine. Usually virtualbox.

Then I create a backup of the disk with dd command.

https://gist.github.com/maximusmaximalistus/84062cb5d0936860291ece5bf14e1773

Restore that backup on a USB stick.

And then resize the partitions to fill the entire USB stick.

Another thing worth mention, if you have in issue on the #BlockstreamJade wallet being detected on your Linux distro. Try to connect it directly to the computer. Don't use any USB Hub.

With this setup your #BlockstreamJade #Bitcoin Hardware Wallet will run in every computer that the kernel installed supports.

It is a good setup for a emergency.

#BlockstreamJade #Bitcoin Hardware Wallet allows users to enter the first 11 or 23 words of a BIP39 recovery phrase, and will automatically calculate possible options for their final word. This is especially helpful for users who want to generate entropy manually (such as by rolling dice) to create a recovery phrase, but still need a safe way to calculate valid final word options.

I classify #Bitcoin users in the following categories:

Cat 0 - No control of private keys.

Cat 1 - Control of private keys.

Cat 2 - Cat 1 + Generate and broadcast transactions.

Cat 3 - Cat 2 + Include transactions on block.

Cat 4 - Cat 3 + Doesn't need a internet connection.

2) You can go from altcoins to #LiquidNetwork on @sideshiftai sideshift.ai

And use @side_swap to store your #LiquidNetwork assets and swap from L-BTC to L-USDt.

On the checkout, verify if both the coupon "maximus" and the payment with L-USDt were introduced and correctly selected. And also don't forget to fill the form with your address.

On #LiquidNetwork, fees are payed with L-BTC. Don't forget to leave some L-BTC on your@side_swap to pay the fees.

Something I didn't do, just to assure I couldn't send my L-USDt out of the wallet.

How to buy a #BlockstreamJade #Bitcoin Hardware Wallet and get:

10% off with coupon "maximus"

+ 10% off when paying with L-USDt

You have two options:

1) You are already on #LightningNetwork or your exchange support it.

2) You aren't on #LightningNetwork and your exchange doesn't support it.
