" As of today, #LiquidNetwork's functionary source code is free and open-source to the public.

The release allows anyone to audit the code that runs the functionaries and to create their own #LiquidNetwork-like network ( #sidechain ) with Confidential Transactions and asset issuance.

https://blog.liquid.net/expanding-transparency-the-liquid-networks-functionary-code-is-now-open-source/

#LiquidNetwork has taken significant steps toward transparency and resilience by open-sourcing its Watchmen and Blocksigner code. While #Elements has always been FOSS, releasing the functionary code is an important milestone for #LiquidNetwork.

Building on the success of the #BlockstreamMiningNote ( #BMN ), which secured $50M over 2021 and 2022, we have partnered with Luxembourg's #STOKR—a premier marketplace for digital securities—to unveil our next #Bitcoin-focused investment vehicle: the #BlockstreamASIC ( #BASIC ) Note .

The #BASIC Note is a #bitcoin-denominated vehicle that provides qualified investors an opportunity to capitalize on the potential upside of historically-low #ASIC prices. Read more about its structure and the offering below:

What makes Jade so secure?

The #BlockstreamJade encrypts your wallet data on device - then forgets the secret needed to decrypt it! Many #Bitcoin hardware wallets function similarly but use an on-device secure element to store the extra secret.

With Jade, your extra secret is off-device with a blind oracle, decentralizing your security & acting like a virtual secure element. The only way to get it back? Enter your correct PIN.

This makes the Jade unique in that there is nothing to steal from the locked device alone.

Milk sad is sad!

This is why I always have a Linux distro in a USB stick like I mention in this thread (on twitter)

https://twitter.com/maximalistus/status/1689011366747836416?s=20

And in here in one video.

https://lightning.video/ac184fe05dbfbe7b88ca463d25de94ef59f8cdee92033a2b328a04a5df55598f

This USB stick is like my #bitcoin Swiss army knife.

But instead of Debian I use Slackware.

But why Slackware?

Slackware installs a lot of more packages than Debian.

So Bitcoin Core, Elements Core and Sparrow work right away.

And this USB stick is used in a computer without a internet connection. I transfer files to it using a vfat formatted USB stick.

And in this USB stick I have Bitcoin Core, Elements Core and Sparrow. Sparrow it is optional.

When shit hits the fence like with milk sad. I highly unlikely that something like that went into "core".

So that is why I have this USB stick. My #bitcoin Swiss army knife.

Slackware installation uses also a LVM on LUKS setup like in the Debian one.

But the Slackware installer uses ncurses and the LVM and LUKS process are done in the CLI.

Just follow:

"Combining LUKS and LVM"

https://slackware.uk/slackware/slackware64-15.0/README_CRYPT.TXT

In that same link you will find this

"A mkinitrd helper script".

So my initrd image is not created with this command

Is created with the output of the mkinitrd helper script.

And this most likely will be different in other machines.

And I don't think that I need more software on that USB stick. I like to keep it simple.

But I already used "zbar",

https://slackbuilds.org/repository/15.0/graphics/zbar/?search=zbar

And qrencode in these setups. Since 15.0, Slackware already brings qrencode.

#BlockstreamJade #Bitcoin Hardware Wallet allows users to enter the first 11 or 23 words of a BIP39 recovery phrase, and will automatically calculate possible options for their final word. This is especially helpful for users who want to generate entropy manually (such as by rolling dice) to create a recovery phrase, but still need a safe way to calculate valid final word options.
