I think relying on untrusted compute to execute highly sensitive steps is way to hard for a phase 1. I would say if someone is publishing without testing or confirmation that what they put into the pipeline hasn't been tampered with is their fault until you put a "1" after the "v".

I think the an easy poc for this would be output the logs of the build for 1 sat, reveal location of the build output file/artifact for the rest of the cost of the dvm (be it blossom or s3 or whatever).

But what you're really talking about building is exactly what aws code build is, but from scratch. The problem is, if code build gave me a virus instead of my build artifact, could sue them. If someone with a DVM returns you back a virus you have no reprocussions, and they can just start a new npub and move on.

So you're gunna have to build super strict managed pipelines AND require it to be run multiple times to confirm they have the same results and you still are uncertainty about reliability. The only way around this would be heavy test automation on the build on another dvm entirely.

Or am I overthinking this

Definitely not accessible with a truck and chipper, I can take care of the tops once it's down and cut into something I can finish with my regular sized stihl (can't think of the size off hand). This is just spots I'm thinking the forest to eventually become silvopasture, so no need for stump grinding, if I need it, I'll do it in a year or two.

These trees are 3-5feet in diameter and I just need them gone to open the canopy.

Hey fam. I’ve been thinking a lot over the past five days that I’ve had off from the fiat mines about how I can add value to the Nostr community.

The most obvious answer is related to where my greatest areas of expertise lie.

If anyone that sees my posts ever needs some experienced input on the following, I can help.

- hazard tree assessment or specific individual tree management advice

- dealing with tree/power utility conflicts in the safest and most economical way and how to get the power company to cover the work in some situations.

- proper tree pruning principles

- how to run or start a tree care business

- how to assess trees and costs for their care or removal on properties prior to purchase

- how to estimate tree trimming, removal and larger land clearing jobs and save money doing it.

- how to do inspections at every level of residential new home builds to make sure it’s ready for the next trade

- how to deal with floods, sewer backups, fires and weather related damage claims and how to deal with restoration companies

- how to manage relationships with insurance companies on residential damage claims

- redundant, easy to maintain self custody models for BTC including physical security.

- models for maintaining security and accessibility for sensitive data including basic encryption and backup regimes

- tips for turning space in your home into growing space

- food preservation methods and building a strategic food supply

- how to eat p*ssy. (Just seeing who has read this far. But I digress)

Also, putsome of this in your profile

I have a bunch of rather large Osage orange trees. I don't own a saw big enough to cut them down nor do I have experience. Should I hire out cutting them? How much does it cost usually to have one cut and chopped into more manageable sizes? Do I further cut them with the saw before splitting them for firewood?

Me please!

Blossom is a vastly inferior product to Arweave.

They both store files, like images, in a decentralized way.

The issue is images cost money to replicate and store. Arweave solves this by programming the funds to only pay out after service. While Blossom uses Nostr key pairs and expects users to use Bitcoin.

But bitcoin has no binding contract. Therefore, Blossom is:

---Not trustless

You trust the relay won't just steal your bitcoin.

---Not as decentralized

If you can't trust the server you're paying, people will naturally gravitate to trusted nodes

---Blossom is more censored.

With Arweave you get the whole network instantly and trustlessly, but with Blossom you only get the few relays you trust to pay or host on.

---Less end-user freedom

The viewer of Blossom content is forced to pick from the poster's relays. While on Arweave, the end user picks from the entire network and can even self-host where they get content.

---Arweave is far more private.

Blossom forces you to tell many servers your IP and npub. With Arweave, the single gateway you choose or self-host knows your IP. In fact, similar to Tor, your VPN doesn't even know what content you're looking at because ALL content shares the same gateway IP.

---Arweave does entire websites

Blossom isn't designed for whole sites, it's for a jpeg meme on Nostr. While Arweave not only does whole websites, but even it's own DNS system that already works without new software. Arweave + a Nostr client would be a game-changer for images, podcasts, and even video.

My point:

You can use Blossom if you want, I'd even subscribe if my client supports it. I'm happy to see development, and I want you guys to succeed. Just don't be closed off to other solutions... because ironically that's the very censorship you wish to defeat.

Arweave has some issues before I want to use it, for one, why do you need another token? Why couldn't you just pay in lightning or bitcoin or monero?

Even if a token is needed, there should be an atomic swap and/or $wAR on liquid or something.

Also, you said you're trusting the gateway. How do you know the gateway is trustworthy? I'm not aware of any coms channels to talk to the gateway with.

Lastly, wouldn't the two in combination be ideal? Like a blossom server for a small community that does a weekly/monthly zip and backup to arweave? Or even blossom sever connected to a relay with conditions to save to arweave (x number of likes/zaps/renotes)?

What relays are folks putting for search on amethyst? I can find shit

Podcasting2.0 is just publishing to the podcast index so apps like fountain can see it

From my search, there are 1% more females in the US than males.... We know what happens when the reverse happens (besides after a war which ex Soviet countries are still recovering from), China is like 3% more males, which is not something we want because we're not gunna send them to other countries like they do.

But immigration quotas is a possible place where I think a gender quota is a good idea, if the numbers don't work at 50:50, then something reasonable. I think especially would be interesting to open source legal immigration. Like rn you kinda need a sponsor, but what if each person had x votes per year for or against individuals and a certain number or votes would add points to your application. And then like if that person is deported for some reason or commits a crime you lose your votes for y number of years. Idk just spot balling.

All the nodes connect directly VS hierarchy, like fishnet VS tree. If you cut off one link in a fishnet it still works, but if you cut off a branch on a tree it dies because it can't connect to the other branches without the trunk. https://nostrcheck.me/media/d70d50091504b992d1838822af245d5f6b3a16b82d917acb7924cef61ed4acee/0eaf9c10783e2dd40a6075052f053e12e481e92845fc6db6c1fb647cf56236b6.webp
