Yes I'm aware of the nakba and about the broader conflict being a century old already, my point is that if Iran and it's proxies are allowed to get away with what they did on October 7th that will certainly embolden other such groups, if they know they can get what they want by doing terror raids why would they ever hold back again?

And about the 35 thousand dead, well that number comes from the health ministry of Gaza which happens to be directly controlled by Hamas, and the group has lied about that quite shamelessly before (remember the missile on the hospital case from a few months ago), my point being that not only are the not a reliable source but they also have every incentive to jack the numbers up as hard as they can. Now I have no proof that it's fake but we have no way of checking.

That depends, if the narcos side with Hamas and indiscriminately fire rockets against civilian areas and then hide amongst civilians to use them as shields I'd say yes, good people are gonna die but I don't see much of an alternative
