The sun shines warm, the days grow long,

Upon the threshold of vibrant June,

The sun, a golden sovereign in the sky,

Bathes the earth with a warm, gentle swoon,

As poppies and peonies open wide their eyes.

Amid this bloom, the grandfather stands,

A figure carved from the tales of old,

With lines of laughter etched in gentle hands,

His stories, like the summer, never cold.

His legacy, much like the summer's start,

Is vibrant with the youth he’s brought to heart.

In every child, a piece of him remains,

A testament to love’s perennial gains.

Now it's my turn, with the sudden grandfather urge,

To lay with every maiden as the seasons merge,

As I chase the winds, young and free,

Treading paths where he once wandered with glee.

Thus, summer blooms from warmth both old and new,

As grandpa smiles at skies of deepest blue,

Recalling days when he, too, ran on dew,

His lineage now the seeds from which joy grew.

So, let the season turn, the children play,

For in each laugh, his spirit sways and stays,

A cycle of life beneath the sun’s soft rays,

Where grandfathers and summer find their praise.
