Jesus said to love your enemies, not kill them. And that murder is wrong. So did those people obey His teachings? Can they REALLY be called His followers?
A Christian is someone who follows Christ and obeys His teachings. If you don't do that, I wouldn't call you a Christian. Jesus said to love your enemies, not kill them or has them. Hitler doesn't qualify.
"Christian Nazis" is an oxymoron. You can't be a real Christian and hate anyone.
1 John 4:20: "If anyone says, βI love God,β and yet hates his brother or sister, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother or sisterο»Ώ whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen."
Hmm... Hitherto I had thought his notes were pretty good but this might show him to be a false teacher π«°π€π
Epic science fiction
Here's a good thread with various science fiction book recommendations. It's been quite a while since I've read any sci-fi myself. Some favorites for me from years ago are the Dune books by Frank Herbert, and the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov.
When you said:
"i suppose the logic is if we don't do it the Nazis will come to power again and gas us again ... except they never did - we just made that story up to boost morale - but then our kids ended up believing it and now we can't tell them it's BS because it will look bad..."
Are you saying the Holocaust didn't actually happen? Or that the Nazis didn't actually gas the Jews? Or that the Nazis didn't come to power?

Incidentally, you must have toe fungus.
I just heard about a guy who published an obituary for his dog in the newspaper. The lady telling the story laughed and said he needs to get a life. π
I switched my VPN to servers in the Netherlands and Japan and it still wouldn't connect π
Doug Casey adds to this "...But be prepared to deal with the consequences."
"But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.β Revelation 21:8
Right! Then, choose your own facts. Just agree with those that confirm what you already believe. π
That would be great, but they needed something more permanent, so they enshrined it in the Constitution, just in time to provide the funding needed to wage World War I...

It did somewhat normalize being weird, didn't it?
"Lucifer" is not a proper name. The Hebrew terms behind it meant "son of the morning" or "morning star" but for whatever reason the Vulgate and King James Version of the Bible didn't translate the Hebrew terms but turned them into a proper name. Modern translations accurately state "morning star." In context, it is used of a man, the king of Babylon, and not some supernatural being. Jesus Himself is referred to as the morning star, in 2 Peter 1:19 and Revelation 22:16.
