You've got to go try it out. It's really good. This is my second time. First time was in Tokyo. Both times there was a long line to get in, but it moves fairly quickly.

Rengeōin, commonly known as Sanjūsangendō, is a Buddhist temple located in Kyoto, Japan. It was founded by the retired Emperor Go-Shirakawa in 1164. The temple's name, Sanjūsangendō, translates to "Hall of Thirty-Three Bays," referring to the long hall's 33 spaces between its columns. The main hall is famous for its architectural design and houses 1001 life-sized statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy. These statues, along with the temple's historical significance and architectural beauty, attract visitors from around the world.
