Pain is mostly unavoidable, it's the suffering that's optional.

I don't think rock bottom is necessary. If you're paying attention, you can use the guidance to address your karmic load & experience growth.

I think rock bottom tends to occur when we deny who we are & fight the lessons that the universe is presenting to us. The resistance to what is, causes us the suffering. Ignoring the guidance causes the universe to slap us harder until we relent & pay attention.

Having said that, there are no absolutes & we each arrive here with a different history and agreed set of experiences.

Know that what we meet with compassion, dissolves. The immediate people in your life are acting as mirrors, reflecting who you are or that which you judge. Show them & yourself compassion.

let them get their way

if you can pay the price

and carry the burden alone

making the struggle irrelevant

but you will be damned

if you give up

defending the truth

because it was hard

to disprove lies

and stand in the way

of those with power

and their ego

because it was easy

get thrown under bus

while you watch

injustice

pain

from safe distance

when you could've

done something

to stop it

and help usher the world

in which everyone

would've had more

It's seems that the dark night of the soul is required for most humans incarnations to benefit from this ride.

I think it can be avoided in theory, but the growth that occurs from this experience is unparalleled. Rock bottom is a humbling gift.
