This is incredible
I discovered Starts of the Lid when I was 16. I still remember the feeling I got listening to the first minutes of "Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid". This meaningful moment on time marked my love for ambient #music that lasts to this day. I have listened to hundreds of ambient records, but Stars of the Lid works are still the most important to me and my favorite. There is some richness about their sound and also something that transports you to a microorganism or even subatomic level. You close your eyes and sunk into subtle ocean of drone and strings or brass your ego just melts. It's incredibly relaxing but also very interesting if you listen with full attention, never boring. Highly recommend it as an entry to ambient music.
Brian McBride, one half of the project, passed away few weeks ago. Thank you for what you gave me Brian. Rest in peace
