Looks like Trump is front running the US Bitcoin Treasury. This is the proof we need that there will be a US reserve at some point.
Seems this was mostly due to one scammer swapping $300 million worth of bitcoin into XMR a few weeks back. Brought Monero to the attention of the market. Interesting how the inflows continued.

He did a interview not to long ago where he explained that he’s not against bitcoin but he is for what is best for his audience. He’s not wrong in his desire to help people get out of debt and start living a free life.

Right now the unpruned blockchain is ~650GB growing at 50-60GB a year. This is without really any mainstream adoption and hardly anyone using btc for transactions. Encouraging larger blocksize is not a good thing for a problematic scalable experiment like bitcoin. Nodes need to be simple, not 2TB workstations if we want this thing to succeed.
This is an ominous sign of things to come when the bitcoin core devs are selfishly profiting off something thats seems little, but is a step down a very different path in the long run.
