The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski said in his turn at the Vienna Comic Con that he hasn't and DON'T plan on playing #TheWitcher game series as he felt has not be interested in it.
While CD Projekt Red and Sapkowski relationships regarding The Witcher game series, they were at odds a while ago as Sapkowski was led to believe that CD Projekt Red could have done a better offering in retrospect of how popular the game series based on his book became.
The case was settled as CD Projekt agreed to improve their accord which includes, that the games were not meant to be a dissuasive for people reaching out the book, while The Witcher III: Wild Hunt did connect gamers with the books in a introductory manner.
About The Witcher Netflix TV Series, he acknowledged that eh wanted to be involved and sent showrunners suggestions but he was just ignored and specially because he is the author.
This is a no-so-secret secret that Henry Cavill's exit from the series as Geralt Of Rivia, was in part of his growing dislike of Netflix ignoring/alternating source and had enough of clashing creatively with showrunners.
Something that showrunners have been denying consistently.
