Even Mechanic points out this is not ideal. The core devs love this. When it was brought up during the panel they all enthusiastically agreed that people who don't like this should run knots. This outcome is a win for them because then they make their shitcoiner friends happy and they know the majority of nodes, including the big economic players (exchanges and such), will continue to run core. The fight needs to be for core, but I will switch to knots as well if that's what it comes down to.

Maybe the mistake I’ve always made when talking about Bitcoin was saying that the system was broken, like economists were stupid or something.

But it’s not broken. It works perfectly.

It took me a while to realize this.

We live in an era where we can cure once-incurable diseases, send people to Mars, and build AI that simulates human thought. And yet, we can’t ensure that two working adults can afford a stable life?

No, it’s not incompetence. They're not stupid. It’s not bad luck. It’s by design.

The economy isn’t in crisis. It’s just that we’re not at the center of it. It’s engineered to transfer wealth and power upward. The Cantillon Effect isn’t a side effect = it’s the engine of the system.

Money is the source code of power. And as long as it’s arbitrarily created by those who decide who gets it first, every effort within this system is doomed to be extracted.

Bitcoin doesn’t exist to fix anything. It exists to build an alternative outside this rigged game. A system where value isn’t distorted at its creation.

Realizing that the system works perfectly, just not for us, is the first step to opting out.

Can you explain for me “Israel’s genocidal intent?” I’m new to primal and I expected a community of critical thinkers as that is who should likely find their way to bitcoin. Instead, I see many parroting the antisemitic views expressed in legacy media. If Israel wanted to commit genocide, why are they so bad at it? The Palestinian population has grown faster than almost any place on earth. Do you know the population has increased while they have been at war? How come nobody on here sees the Muslim extremism as a problem? What did the Hindu people from India do over the past week to justify them being killed by a Pakistan based extremist Muslim group? What did the Christian people in Lebanon and Africa do to justify their execution by extremist Muslim factions? Why do you focus only on Israel when Israel has never started a conflict? I suggest that you use the knowledge that bitcoin has given you about being a critical thinker and approach the problem that Israel faces from a blank slate.
