ΔC https://drss.io -- bringing back the republic of blogs. and onramp for bringing RSS content, including podcasts, into NOSTR https://npub.dev -- configure your outbox https://npub.blog -- experimenting with reading articles in a client-side only setup

both ways is best. existing RSS feeds translated to nostr, and nostr events translated to RSS. very POC implementation of this on nostr.io now under each profile, such that you can subscribe to that profile's events. podcasting could be greatly improved in this way. imagine following pubkeys that repost podcast events. disaggregation of RSS feeds will be a killer app once implemented.

however the relay owner decides it. think of it as digital private property

I am very curious to understand your concerns here, but I can't say that I clearly understand the problem you would like to solve. apologies if you've mentioned it elsewhere, but would you mind stating what the goal is?

I'll add that my personal goal is to enable digital sovereignty. that is,  the ability to communicate with people whom I choose to communicate with, under my own terms, and I believe nostr accomplishes this beautifully by implicitly using localism.

another option is to run your own relay and only allow those "select number of people" on your relay's whitelist. then messages you publish there are only available to those people. otherwise, it's hard to imagine how a non-account-based approach could work in this context.

turns out it was a bot: https://mj12bot.com/

they did try to read robots.txt, which I didn't have. that's fixed now.

strange behavior though, they were walking through events ids in lexical order calling the thread endpoint nostr.io/t/, and it turns out I left out a critical index in my events table, so that was causing multiple table scans on each route served.

I may have shot myself in the foot with the stats graphs.. I'm going to do some seat-of-pants caching

thanks for the heads up. I've been looking at wtf is going on. lots of traffic

next up is events over time
