thanks. seems similar at a glance. especially the local-first, markdown editor aspect. if anyone out there has used both, which did you prefer?
I'm a happy obsidian user, but since my content is all folders of markdown files, it's perfectly mobile should aomething better arise.
It's time for another #FOSSFriday note. Today, let's talk about HedgeDoc.
HedgeDoc is an open-source, web-based, self-hosted, real-time collaborative markdown editor.
You can use it to easily collaborate on notes, graphs and even presentations in real-time. All you need to do is to share your note-link to your co-workers or friends and family.
I use HedgeDoc for note taking and staging long-form Nostr notes. My friend nostr:npub12262qa4uhw7u8gdwlgmntqtv7aye8vdcmvszkqwgs0zchel6mz7s6cgrkj introduced me to HedgeDoc last summer and I've been using it ever since.
I wouldn't say that HedgeDoc is a full Google Docs replacement though. That #FOSSFriday is coming up soon. HedgeDoc is somewhere in the middle between Google Keep and Google Docs. It's more specialized.
how does it compare with Obsidian? is it similar, or doing something different?
Interesting read. Is “local first” software a practical reality? Are PWAs a step in that direction?

great article. I saw kleppman speak a few times at strangeloop and he always delivered. too bad that conference went mad with politics.

who is publishing long form content (nip-23) that I should follow? I will step away for a few hours, but will return to zap good answers.
‘a’ tags
“kind:pubkey:d-tag”

I tried "a" tags with the "kind:pubkey:d tag" tuple, and it seems like listr.lol is not able to parse them: https://listr.lol/a/naddr1qqykgunnwvsxvet9vsq3gamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7q3qku78zsurdkvvs4q2kvmc3v752jp0n5yf3e00c67makcpk7nrhzwsxpqqqp6nzvgs04q prioritize this very low, as this particular aspect is not critical to my purposes, just thought I'd let you know, and thank you again for all your help!

oh snap, that's it, thanks!
I did finally get the kind 1063 events published and listr displays them as I'd expect.
I do have a remaining question, which is how to add replacable events to a list? e tags imply a hex event id. would "naddr" as a tag work? the nip-51 writeup doesn't mention it, nor does nip-33 or even nip-19.
I have to apologize. I went back and checked, and my publisher code is apparently not working, so those events are not published. just prior to that I did manage to publish some to nostr.wine at least, but I believe also to relay.damus.io. sorry, I'll sort this out and let you know how it goes. I'm using ndk to publish these 1063 events.
I'm working on creating lists of RSS feeds. on those kind 1063's I care about the `url` and `m` tags.
