Just a guy hoping to live in a world made better by #Bitcoin

This week feels like it’s going to hit a bit differently. Is the calm finally turning into the storm? The air around me feels electric and I feel connected to every other sat stacking pleb that’s been dreaming of a world made better by #Bitcoin.

Stay humble friends.

<3

One day there will be parades & celebrations held all over the world celebrating Satoshi’s gift to the world.

#Bitcoin

I am in perpetual awe of #Bitcoin

I took the day off to drive out to Princeton for a book talk with nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a and stumbled across The Pole Farm in nearby Lawrenceville, PA.

In 1929, AT&T purchased 820 acres of land and built the world's largest shortwave radiotelephone transmitting station. Thousands of antenna poles were erected, giving it the nickname “The Pole Farm”.

These antennas facilitated the transmission of millions of international calls across the Atlantic to Europe, South America, Africa, and the Middle East.

AT&T shut down service in 1975 as advancements in satellite technology rendered the station obsolete.

As I walked through the park, I couldn’t help but think about all the technological innovation that had to proceed #Bitcoin before it could become what it is today: a global, scarce, permissionless, decentralized, immutable, pseudonymous, secure & transparent digital money the world has ever seen.

I also thought about how quickly technological innovation can render previous technology obsolete. I pondered how #Bitcoin will inevitably do to gold & fiat what satellites did to The Pole Farm. It’s not a question of “if” but “when”.

Anyway, back to sipping my coffee before heading to the talk!

Thanks Trey!!!!! Sats received 🥹

I’m looking forward to reading your weekly digest!

So what’s your favorite Bitcoin book? nostr:note1z24urhfk2a7llafgnqfywwfcvguqwf593h8wfw77vzhy506r9p3sr4twd0

I swear EVERY time I sit down to manage my UTXOs someone starts spamming the network 🙄

It never fails 🤦‍♂️

Do any other Bitcoiners out there feel a deep sense of urgency to tell as many people as possible about Bitcoin? I've heard of others feeling this but it often doesn’t last. I imagine many try to orange-pill their friends and family with limited success only to give up and go back to quietly stacking their own sats.

I don't think I'm just going through my orange-pilling phase. I'm always thinking of creative ways to spread the good word of Satoshi. I started with my first #BitcoinBookDrop project where I buy educational Bitcoin books, read them and then drop copies in those Little Free Libraries you find all over the country. I know people are picking them up (because I've gone back and checked the next day) but I can only hope that they're actually being read and put back into circulation for many others to read.

I know more and more people will take Bitcoin seriously as the number goes up, but I want as many plebs front-running Wall Street as possible.

I'll wrap up by sharing a few pics of my latest book drop of "Broken Money" by nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a in the adorable "Cactus Corner" Little Free Library in Old Town Alexandria.

Sincerely,

Cafe Satoshi <3

The snowfall yesterday closed down much of DC so I took to the quiet streets to find a beautiful little library to drop a copy of The Bitcoin Standard by nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak

This time I added a little note for future Bitcoiners 🤓📚

Pro tip:

Use a reputable Bitcoin-only exchange (if you’re ok with KYC) to buy $10/day and when you’ve built up enough sats (remember UTXO size matters for on-chain transactions), move it to cold storage OR send smaller amounts to your own non-custodial lightning wallet.

Do you agree? What is your DCA strategy?

I’ve been binging The Great Pottery Throw Down while bedridden for 2 days recovering from food poisoning. I don’t watch much TV nowadays but I think I really liked this one because there’s a proof of work aspect to it. Seeing all the work that goes into crafting a beautiful ceramic from start to finish is fascinating and inspiring.

I’ve always had a creative streak myself. I dabbled with poetry in grade school and doodled relentlessly until I graduated college. But since I started working for fiat in 9-5 jobs I haven’t really spent any time flexing those creative muscles.

#Bitcoin gives me hope that I’ll one day have the stability to exit the fiat rat race and tap into the creative side I once knew & loved. 🤓 🎨

Of course you do. You’re on Nostr!

I walked 15 mins in the pouring rain without an umbrella to catch a $2 metro because I’d rather spend the Uber money on #Bitcoin  🚀

The wind was crazy today but she held up great!

I’ll be flying my #StudyBitcoin kite at the National Cherry Blossom Kite Festival this year on March 30.. just a couple weeks before the halving!

My first book drop of the year is Broken Money by nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a

I drove all the way up to this Little Free Library in Northeast DC. It was so full with books I had to cram it in there!

If you’ve finished Lyn’s book, consider dropping it in a little library for many others to read.
