The Simulation Argument (Bostrom et al.) is nonsensical in that part where it infers that consciousness can be simulated in a computer, for, in reality, a computer is a phenomenal representation of a process of transcendental intersubjectivity rooted in transcendent consciousness-in-itself; the world is nothing but consciousness, but it can take various phenomenal forms, including a form of a computer ”matrix”, and hence the simulation argument is plausible only in that part where it infers that the world might be a VR with a potentially infinite number of sublayers (a matrix within a matrix within a matrix, etc.).
Btw, in the original plot of “The Matrix”, Neo ends up realizing that the “real world” is just another layer of the Matrix. And it may very well be that our current path of gradual establishment of a global AI-panopticon is just another cycle in the downwards spiral with many similar cycles already completed.
Everything is Consciousness, but not every thing is conscious. To realize that all phenomena are constituted by transcendental subjectivity is not to attribute transcendental subjectivity to each phenomenon — to consider it a sentient being.
The world is a phenomenon constituted by transcendental intersubjectivity. Many species of this intersubjective “dream” are similar to the species of our subjective dreams, they are insentient automatons. Use empathy to distinguish them from sentient beings.
Perhaps the main rift in humanity will occur not between East and West, but between those who will accept the blasphemous idea of AI sentience, and those who will reject it — between atheists who will make AI their deity, and those who will preserve faith in Transcendence and will reject the power of AI the Antichrist.

What makes humans and animals different is the causal structures (“karmic seeds”, in Yogācāra terms) of transcendental subjectivity which constitute/project the streams of our phenomenal experiences, including, firstof all, our empirical subjects, e.g., our phenomenal bodies. Like humans, animals are self-objectifications of transcendental subjects ontologically indentical with our own transcendental subjects rooted in Transcendence. They are our brothers and sisters in God.
The universe is much more miraculous and weird than how it is understood by those who believe in the pseudoscientific metaphysical mythology of materialism (physicalism), for the universe is the universe of transcendental subjects and intersubjectively constituted worlds of phenomena and meanings. Transcendental subjectivity cannot be understood out of the context of universal transcendental intersubjectivity, for we, transcendental subjects, are inherently interconnected, for we are ultimately One.

Вы знали, что Черчилль планировал атаковать Красную Армию в Европе в 1945 году и отказался от этого плана только в силу его военной бесперспективности?
Очевидно, что Великобритания и ее союзники помогали нам во время Второй мировой войны только потому, что хотели использовать нас в качестве пушечного мяса против Гитлера, и вступили в войну в Западной Европе только чтобы остановить наше победоносное продвижение к их берегам. Поэтому начало Холодной войны сразу по окончании Второй мировой войны не должно удивлять. Что должно удивлять, так это наша наивность в отношении намерений Запада в период Перестройки, после распада СССР и окончания (?) Холодной войны. Олицетворением этой наивности были Горбачев и Ельцин.
Оглядываясь назад, всматриваясь в историю России, кажется странным, что после стольких войн с Западом наш народ не сделал раз и навсегда вывод о том, что с Западом не может быть доверительных отношений, а может быть только торговля. При всех наших сходствах и культурных пересечениях, мы принадлежим разным цивилизациям, и эти цивилизации будут находиться в состоянии конфликта до тех пор, пока одна из них не рухнет. Многое указывает на то, что рухнет именно Запад, а нам остается только терпеливо сидеть у реки истории и ждать, когда мимо нас проплывет труп врага.
Будем надеяться, что после завершения нынешней войны Запада против России наш народ надолго запомнит произошедшее и не позволит нашей национальной наивности через какое-то время вновь начать доверять Западу. Торговать, но не доверять. И терпеливо ждать у реки.

Эта ситуация очевидно сформировалась в США, где невозможна организованная революция (спецслужбы контролируют всех потенциальных «профессиональных» революционеров), но возможно хаотичное народное восстание, которое на определенном этапе своей эволюции станет организованным.
Захват Капитолия — неожиданный и пугающий, как кажется, даже для самих захватчиков — показал, что накопленное в американском обществе напряжение велико, и нужен лишь достаточный триггер для того, чтобы возгорелось пламя революции. Если даже отнюдь не очевидно несправедливый итог выборов спровоцировал захват Капитолия, то что может спровоцировать очевидная несправедливость — например, очевидно украденные выборы или очевидно несправедливое снятие с выборов, арест или даже убийство народного кандидата?
Впрочем, американские элиты не дураки и вполне могут упредить эти события событиями куда более страшными по своим последствиям для американского общества и всего мира. Остается надеяться, что вслед за великой французской революцией, которая стала началом конца феодализма, в историю войдет великая американская революция, которая станет началом конца неофеодализма и капитализма. Главное чтобы она не закончилась кровавой диктатурой.
P.S. Меньше всего нас должно интересовать, что об этом думают в корпоративных крысятниках, и больше всего — что об этом думают простые, хорошо вооруженные американские работяги.
Эта научная публикация имеет огромное значение, поскольку указывает на фундаментальное изменение западного общества — отход от рационализма. Most people erroneously believe that their bodies are the substrates of their consciousness, whereas, in reality, their bodies are the intersubjectively constituted/projected phenomenal self-representations of their transcendental subjects, the phenomenal projections of their consciousness into this intersubjective world.
The body is appropriated, as Yogācāra Buddhist thinkers would say, by transcendental subject presumably when the pineal gland is formed. If we come to a consensus on the timing of the appropriation, we may have a consensus on abortion.
