They can be very complicated, but I prefer to think of them in very simple terms. Just imagine walking into a casino and placing a bet that the yield on 10 year U.S. Treasuries will hit 2.75% in July. If it does reach that level, you win. If it doesn't, you lose. That is a very simplistic example, but I think that it is a helpful one. At the heart of it, the 441 TRILLION dollar derivatives market is just a bunch of people making bets about which way interest rates will go.

And normally the betting stays very balanced and our financial system is not threatened. The people that run this betting use models that are far more sophisticated than anything that Las Vegas uses. But all models are based on human assumptions, and wild swings in interest rates could break their models and potentially start causing financial losses on a scale that our financial system has never seen before.

- I own my own house (people think I'm renting)

- My car is a 15 year old pick up truck

- My clothes are all cheap and old

- I wear a 20 year old Casio watch.

- I never eat out and drink coffee at home

- I have zero loans

- I have (almost) zero investments

- My bank account barely has any money in it.

- I sell a tiny amount of bitcoin every year to get cash for everyday spending (I only need about $150/month)

- Bought farmland 17 years ago which I plan to move into and be self-sufficient, I will provide myself with food and electricity.

- I will then most likely rent out my current home for bitcoin.

I own almost no fiat and no investments (in the traditional sense) and yet, I have so much!

Nocoiners usually cannot comprehend the workings of #bitcoin and the environments it operates in.

The biggest reason being they cannot fathom the inner workings of a technology without using it themselves.

To them, all the discussions and explanations surrounding bitcoin are mere theories that need to be proven. And although almost every aspect has already been proven, they still don't see it because they refuse to give it a try and see for themselves.

I usually use my father as a prime example to show how nocoiners are completely disconnected from bitcoin. This is because he is a strict opposer of bitcoin although he strongly believes in hard money.

My father, being a bitcoin outsider (and a staunch critic of it) thinks the following:

- Zapping others for various reasons is not logical. Since his vast experience dictates that a person must work hard in order to make money, zapping people for mere comments, jokes and helpful advice just doesn't make sense to him.

- During all of his life, nobody has ever tipped him for anything, so in his mind, tipping is only reserved for restaurants and taxi drivers 🤣 So, he thinks zapping is just a passing phase. I asked him, when in his vast history has he ever addressed millions of people (social media) in order to get tipped? In addition, if people wanted to tip him fiat, the only way was to meet him face to face.

- The idea that a zap can contain messages (i.e. advertisements) is causing him much conflict as this breaks his theory of bitcoin being a just a passing phase.

It's been 10 years that I've been trying to convince him that the future is nothing but bitcoin but he completely rejects that "theory" because he refuses to buy ANY amount of bitcoin.

Conclusion: A nocoiner will never understand bitcoin unless he/she owns some.

The best way to enjoy our current clown world is to own #bitcoin.

I have been unemployed since 2003. No job pressure, no low-life boss to report to, no enforced schedule to adhere to and no receiving commands like a pet.

I can wake up any time I feel like (except my brain insists on waking up at 4am-5am 😂)

I can travel at any time and stay abroad as long as I wish.

I can decide my own schedule and everyday is a holiday.

Most friends and family show me sympathy because to them, I'm a complete failure.

Some keep offering me assistance by offering me money, helping me find a job and providing moral support 😂

Others think I'm a spoiled brat because I keep declining any help and I insist I make more money than all of them combined.

They see my 14 year old truck, my Casio watch, my old ragged clothes, my old house (they think I'm renting it), my refusal to eat at restaurants and drink at cafes outside and immediately think I'm in a financial crisis 😂

One family member went as far as trying to take me under his wing to "get my life back on track". I told him that he's placing his time and energy in the wrong person. That made him think I'm really smug.

I will tell you what I tell all these people:

I LOVE BEING "POOR" 🤣🤣🤣
