I'm handing out free NIP05's. I do it manually and do not charge any fee. π€
NIP05 basically makes it easier to read your npub, as it is linked via a domain. This way you dont have to check the npub of the person contacting you, just check the short NIP05.
It's in no way a link to your twitter, email or things like that. Really just an easy way to make your npub ' email-like' readable. As a bonus most clients show it with a cool badge! β

If you happen to run an own server/domain I recommend reading into hosting the nip05 yourself, it's fun and not hard to do!
If anyone needs a way to convert the HEX format back into Bench (npub), use this site and these settings. Data -> tag=npub' -> Bench.

Still blows my mind to login as someone else. Just login with any npub and see it as they see it. See everything they have done like it's your own profile. You can even see who they message with. Just cant post, edit settings or decrypt the private messages..
If you are trying a new client, like hamstr.to (tip), just login with someone else npub!
Dont see how this isnt in the spirit of the protocol. Anyone can login with your npub and see everthing you have done, even who you message with. Why is a public file with your public hexkey not in this spirit?
Whats the downside? It's all public info?
If there's no way the miners in the pool gets compensation for this, miner will leave that pool making such blocks less likely to happen.
If they do get paid for it, in a transparent way, more miners will join such pools and it will be a form of income.
Not sure where it goes from there. It might boost Lightning which isn't a bad thing. It might polute the mempool for years which isn't great.
Personally I think this will blow over and the mempool will be empty again.
Yeah I think 'rana -v 00000000' is gonna do the trick here. Not sure what '-d=32' will generate, might test it later with lower difficulties.

Ok seems that 7 the same in npub doesnt actually mean the same in hex. Can you point me in the right direction to PoW hex? $ rana --difficulty=32?
