The Ohio Catholic Bishops are walking a tightrope on the Ohio abortion votes this year. There is a vote in August to change to a super majority being required to change the Ohio constitution via popular vote. This is the preemptive move against the vote in November to legalize abortion into the constitution. The Bishops say that they aren't giving a direction on the August vote because it's a procedural matter. They don't want to piss off the donors more. Lots of "Catholics" are pro-abortion.
