nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg I have sent btc onchain to my wallet and it keeps saying pending even I could transfer the sats to lightning I still don’t have any channel? Do you have a recommendation here ?
If you're swapping from on chain to lightning within Mutiny, it has to have 6 confirmations first. Check the transaction ID in mempool.space
I’d like to open a channel in nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg and start using it daily, but currently it says that the cost to receive over Lightning is 40K sats.
That’s definitely higher than the cost of the on-chain transaction with fees around 30 s/vB for fastest confirmation. Can we select the fee rate?
If I receive sats to mutiny via on-chain, can I then open the channel from within the wallet for a more accurate fee?
Is there some other workaround, or is this essentially the service fee to get started?

The fees will be dynamic soon, but yes you can open the channel yourself from your on chain balance, you just won't get any additional inbound.
A lot of this is outlined here. https://blog.mutinywallet.com/mutiny-wallet-faq/
Probing them now, let us know if it's any quicker. Internet data speeds may play a part in this too.
It looks like it's probing successfully on the first try, but there's latency along the route. In our tests it's like 90s. A direct channel could help, but can't always guarantee that's not saturated.
Yeah, we definitely want to make it faster. A lot is going on at once and quite a bit that needs to download and compute to even be usable at all (the node is like 10mb).
Backgrounding it and making it look like it is syncing could help a bit instead of showing an empty loading stare.

Pulling down the webpage and web assembly files (if using web version)
Checking local state against remote
Pulling down any out of date state
Decryption
Loading all of the channel info
Pulling down and loading LN gossip and scorer
Version 0.4.38 is rolling out now which addresses a few things around channel reserves.
We're also finished with our 50% Black Friday sale of Mutiny+ but instead of rolling the price back up to 21k sats, we're sticking to 16k 🙏
With all the drama of WOS leaving the US. I have now switched to nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg for zaps. I should have done it a long time ago. Now if I could figure out a Mutiny wallet LNURL address 🤔
We don't offer one yet but you can zap from Mutiny. Just can't receive into it yet.
Not yet, something we are working on but it will take some time.
How do I use this LNURL Auth in nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg ? Is this a static receive address? Cc nostr:npub1t0nyg64g5vwprva52wlcmt7fkdr07v5dr7s35raq9g0xgc0k4xcsedjgqv
No, this is just for logging into other services with LNURL AUTH.
Thanks! Will add them to the probing list.
nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg is there a way to see the route a payment used? I just paid for coffee with Mutiny and it felt as slow as when I pay with my tor-only node 😅
Not currently, only in the logs. Who was the destination? We can make sure there's good routes to them.
Hey nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg , from the initial 100.000 sats required to open the channel, it remained “pending” for some time until it was suddenly “closed” two days ago.
Now there is only 90.072 sats remaining on-chain and no channels open. 😅
Any clue on what might have happened?
Thanks!
For issues, submit a ticket here with your logs and we can take a look.
Yes. You can use them in the app or in another wallet.
They don't expire, but the channel might eventually be closed and your funds will move from Lightning to normal on chain Bitcoin.
Not yet but it's something we are actively working on.
