This is how I play doubles tennis with myself.

Think about your troubles.

Me and my and my arrow.

My arrow is a chicken.

I have no point.

Call me Ringo.

I can't fucking believe I'm zapping people from my own shiddy lightning node 🤣🤣🤣

Did the zap go throooo?!

I'm sure I'll run into trouble with backups or closures, rebalancing, or something. I just wanted an always online core node as a start. I was sick of plugging in an external hard drive, and resyncing a weeks worth of transactions to an old laptop I didn't keep running all the time.

Three days later I'm apparently hosting my own photos and opening channels to peers.

I've opened channels before on various wallets, but being the backend versus solely the on chain redemption key is wildly exciting.

I should have done this sooner, but I don't think I'd have been ready if I hadn't played around so much with lightning before.

I'm probably still not ready. I am however still here.

My face the last 24 hours after finally spinning up a decent second node, connecting to my own electrum server, watching my own mempool instance populate with blocks and backlogged transactions, accessing it on mobile via tailscale, downloading Alby Hub from a community GitHub app store, and connecting it to my own lightning node.

This has been the gradually then suddenly I've been trying to manifest. Fuck if I know why it took me so long to get all this situated in a way that works so smoothly.
