🐕, 🦆, 🌱 New Spinsters: I’m not going to follow back until you post a bit. Wider Fedi: I’m not going to follow back if you post too much. Nostr: 2c60241a778e47057c7b457e8e31750216a924877c8c21637b719ba573568161

Birds are, I think, done, but should I add swirls to show it’s windy?

And moss and lichen on the wall. May add more, not sure yet.

The low UK birth rate means the primary school population peaked at 4.6 million pupils five years ago with the secondary population peaking at 3.2 million pupils this year.

That seems like a big gap. Where are all the primary kids going?

Looks like my hands are starting with the arthritis too, now. Thanks Mum.

Slow — as I think the quilt shows — isn’t a problem. Tedious is tedious, though, even if I like the fabrics as fabric.

I do have something else in the works. Need to iron some fabric before I can get on with it.

Several. I did actually start something from one of them before I did this, and it turns out that needle-turn appliqué with homespun fabric is really fucking tedious.

Plus where is the water coming from: if rivers or groundwater, it could have effects downstream (either reduced flows or increased temperatures) or in other parts of the aquifer (reduced levels mean some wells run dry).

Finding myself without a hand sewing project after finishing my quilt, I decided to make a matching cushion.

I now find myself without a hand sewing project….

I’m slightly surprised that, eg, Microsoft hasn’t arbitrarily removed Gill Sans as a font option from Word.

Although Gil was “just” a paedo, so maybe I shouldn’t be.

TBF, even though it has BBC in the title it’s not actually a BBC-produced magazine. But, to also be fair, this is exactly the sort of shite that the BBC would spout.

Yes, exactly! It’s over and done, and no one can possibly know if the world is better or worse for it but it’s irrelevant either way because it’s the past.

Amazon will sell me 300 of them, which seems excessive.

Ah, good old Yorkshire Trading, that looks like a possibility.

Unless we’re made of dinosaur juice.

The specific ones I failed to use today have been in a sealed black plastic container that’s clipped to his lead, so presumably pretty dry and dark. I think it’s just age.

I think he only looks worse because he’s trying to go faster, which presumably actually means he’s better, but who knows….

nostr:npub1h3g89n0zgn5w6930njtwqva3yw6tcg0meag065rm7ezzpmctqcgq4kz77e posts about this yesterday and seemed to think it was just Russia being business as usual, though this may be an escalation that changes her assessment.

It’s a bit like the Fediverse but even less centralised and very keen on crypto (rather than liking a post, you can zap it and give the creator a few cents worth of crypto). And they have weird display names because Alex is trying to maintain Masto compatibility.

Bah.

Stop bloody itching!
