Toss Batocera on a USB and BOOM.
Lost another life long friend today to cancer and liver damage. Not one that I expected to lose, they walked in to the hospital on Saturday and today the family took them off life support.
Call your friends, give them hugs. Tell them when they are being self-destructive. Life is short, time is the thing that is more scarce than Bitcoin.

It just does not say what the specs are, so I am not sure if it will work on non-switch devices or if that requires the cord, I am hoping they are BT, but it looks like you have one, any insights on it?
It is even better than that, they are wireless, the USB is optional/charging:
"Enjoy enhanced Super NES™ games the way they're meant to be played—using a full-size Super Nintendo Entertainment System style controller! Available for purchase only by Nintendo Switch Online members, this wireless controller offers the perfect way to play these classic Super NES games."
I must be a redwood
The Bitcoin news is great and all, but today I found out a life long friend is in a medically induced coma and not likely to make it.
It really wrecks the feels.
One day, in the not too distant future, Bitcoin will be the Trillion Dollar Coin they tossed around minting to pay off the debt.
All because they will never stop printing…

Yes and no, many people think it is a blessing, but can also be a curse. It is easy to think that everything would work out and you have a huge stack, but I mined over 150 in my garage and due to life events and poor decisions, I am not even a whole coiner.
I am still stacking, but the path from there to here is a difficult one.

Ironically, it has primecoin wallet installed on it.
I was an early coinbase user when they first started and had blockchain.info as a wallet on my phone. It was a strange time to be alive.
Core was installed on the machine I got a few months after discovering BTC. I also kept this one mining on CPU and Antminer U1s to not bog down my new work laptop, but they let us keep the old ones.
I also used cryptsy and MTGox back then to covert merge mined tokens and primecoin that I mined on a server rack in the garage.
This mined millions of sats in 2012… it is indescribable how much I was just let down.
Found my laptop from when i first discovered bitcoin, but I never installed core on it or self-custodied on it, unfortunately.
I had high hopes looking at the desktop state when I logged in, but alas, I found no sats.

I come from managed services and Developer Evangelism at the Enterprise level. I will keep that in mind, I might need it.
Just now about to start loading on to the bare metal and still have to run the bios and firmware updates on a few hosts.
Here is a teaser, I had to work very very hard to get that work. Gluing bits together to eliminate human efforts. This assumes a skilled worker, so the estimates will be a bit light on the estimated hours, since I am skilled, but learning a few of the things on the way. Many hats.

I have the hardware in hand to build an ambitions #nostr project. I think it will inject users to the ecosystem. I am planning on using nostr as the identity management and for profile data and other content, badges and similar.
I also have a plan to implement purchasable signed notes that are redeemable for service, transferable by signature.
It may take me a while to fully realize it all, as I am only one person, but the intent is to build a business in the nostr space that attracts new users from both nostr and to nostr.
The server backbone I am building will support ~120Gbs internet at the edge, so it should be able to serve an audience.
I just wish I had more funding to ensure my runway to launch. This is my go for broke moment.
Payments are planned as BTC only, but the offering includes a full free tier of access, paid features are optional, but will unlock more.
I have a been working on the full 10 page 5 phase build plan with AI and I am still cleaning the last iteration up, but it is a solid plan.
Sorry for the lack of major details, but I may have to #asknostr a lot of things as I learn and implement it. I plan of leveraging existing stacks and their APIs as much as possible to reduce efforts.
Here is another user that is trying to wrap their head around nostr. They have been around for a while, but are still trying to understand some of the technical aspects.
I have found the account to post good content on X and I hope you find them worth following & engaging with here on nostr.
Merry Christmas #nostr.

#OrangePilling is a process, you may need to help new users on their journey and keep in touch.

But... it might prevent #Bitcoin from being developed, so I will make sure to bring the source code with me.
