3 mins after legal shooting light, through the dense fog, 120 yards, lung shot, with a rifle platform he really hasn't shot much and doesn't have alot of experience with. Damn proud of my 14 year old! His first 🦌 and so many great memories made!!
We spent some time going over ballistic data so he could understand the cartridge and how the bullet would fly, I'd say it paid off, especially only shooting at a silhouette in the fog. I watched through the binos as he dropped immediately. Definitely a proud dad moment.
The previous day he was carrying the 12g cause i think the 45-70 was slightly intimidating then suddenly he said he wanted to use the big guy! Damn good shot kid!
