China decided to retaliate against Trump's tariffs

The Asian giant imposed 34% tariffs on US products, suspended the export of agricultural products, and restricted exports of various types of rare earths key to vehicles and AI technologies, increasing tensions in the trade war. The measure, accompanied by a complaint to the WTO and the imposition of export controls on Apple and many other US companies, fueled fears of a recession and caused a sharp global drop in stock markets.
