Aircraft '4K-AZ40' has made at least 7 flights to the Azerbaijani enclave of Nakhchivan in the last 48 hours. Prior to 8 September, the last time any of Silk Way's Il-76s flew to Nakhchivan was 8 October 2022, nearly 1 year ago.

Notably, on 5 September, '4K-AZ40' visited Ovda airbase in Israel. Ovda is significant as according to the 'Times of Israel', it is the only airbase in the country in which explosives can be exported. Israel has long supported Azerbaijan in order to counter Iranian influence.
