The Benefits of Bitcoin and the Lightning Network
The Lightning Network is a decentralized system that allows for instant and low-cost payments. The technology behind this network was created by Joseph Poon and Thaddeus Dryja in 2015, but it wasn't until 2017 that the first implementation of their idea was released on Bitcoin's mainnet.
