During Covid our family

- didn’t take any experimental or rushed vaccines

- didn’t mask our children

- tried to limit the amount of time our kids were around masked individuals

- got Covid twice (non serious)

- used an abundance of caution early on and then relaxed once the data was clear

- stood our ground against peer pressure

Basically we got 100 out of 100.

Zaps are powerful because we're using them to build a value for value economy. The fact that Zaps are bitcoin makes them that much more potent. Apple recognizes that Zaps are money and that's incredibly bullish for all of us.

No company can take Zaps away from you because Nostr and Bitcoin are censorship resistant. When one method of Zapping falls, another rises from the ashes like a phoenix to take it's place.

We're still here. We're still Zapping.

We understand that Zaps are not sales transactions for digital content. Our notes and events or Nostr are not for sale. They are for consuming. The content exists without the Zap. The content can be consumed without the Zap. It's up the the content consumer to decide if they want to Zap the creator. This makes Zaps a combination of feedback, tipping, and donations all wrapped into one little lightning bolt emoji.

Someone asked me today if I was concerned about the recent news. I am not concerned. At all. If I was an iOS user, I might feel a little deflated, but I'd know that either I'd find another way or that nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s would find a suitable workaround for us. It's business as usual here on Nostr. We have Zaps to send. We're working on our 1 millionth Zap. And, I've never more more bullish.

@damus tripped the wire when adding "onlyZaps" to posts. Guideline for "optional" 'tipping and donations' was broken.

Remember: Apple is a law firm that also makes hardware and software. They can't give an edge case the benefit of the doubt when they have literally gone to court over in-app currencies.

Also Remember that relying on a single appstore (damus is iOS only) is the antithesis of 'decentralized'.

Alternative open source sysyems like GrapheneOs in addition to progressive web apps are the only way forward for mobile.

"Guidelines" can change at any time.

Assume all apps, wallets, etc. on the app store that use ₿itcoin or Nostr are under suspicion now.
