Interested in open data, machine learning, and distributed systems.

Just sent you 100 sats using the nostr integration. It shows up as a DM from a different npub. Kinda confusing but you can send them over any messaging channel.

If you are using an iPhone you need to give eNuts a spin. It’s really well done and using it finally made things click. I believe mints still settle with each other over lightning, and you fund your wallet with lightning. That said an entire cash economy could form on this architecture.

People refer to Bitcoin as a bearer asset but your utxos never leave the network. The way a cashu token moves freely between peers is wild, it truly functions as a bearer asset. There are no payment rails.

Another perk of nostr is there's not a bunch of S2F and supercycle clickbait.

Something which might help is if you think about using sats as a way to preserve the value of the work you provide. By adopting this mindset the fiat price doesn't matter, it's always a fair trade.

The ah-ha for me with Cashu didn't happen until I created my first token and it didn't require a recipient or a destination address.

You have to go through the motions to realize how incredibly unique that is for a product in the digital payments space. 🤯

If the default to the mint at http://legend.inbits.com/. Are you using your own mint address?

Ah ok, I used the mint.enuts.beta mint - so yeah that worked no problem.

Right on 👍 this is very cool. Any clue if you can take it to another mint? Do they clear with each other?

You were the first to welcome to me to Nostr so naturally you were the first I sent a test eCash payment from the eNuts app. It’s using a generated privkey so no clue how it’s delivered, did it arrive via DM??

Playing with eNuts. Here’s 100 sats for someone. Wondering if it can be redeemed at any mint??

If you claim it, lmk.

"Rivalistic desires are all the more overwhelming since they reinforce one another.

The principle of reciprocal escalation and one-upmanship governs this type of conflict. This phenomenon is so common, so well known to us, and so contrary to our concept of ourselves, thus so humiliating, that we prefer to remove it from consciousness and act as if it did not exist.

But all the while we know it does exist. This indifference to the threat of runaway conflict is a luxury that small ancient societies could not afford.”

-Rene Girard

Sora is incredible. It's also the first time I've felt the lines between art and manipulation have finally dissolved.

Now, more than ever, cryptographic provenance isn't just useful—it's indispensable for distinguishing the authenticity and intent of content.

If we just had a way to broadcast signed messages that could be verified by anyone who receives it.
