Been testing Muun Wallet and Wallet of Satoshi.

Muun Wallet definitely has a nicer looks and feel but I can’t seem to figure out how to get a Lightning email address on it.

Trezor was the first harware wallet, and still supports every product they have released. Other companies iterate, and brick their old stuff for repeat customers. Ledger and coldcard both have black boxes inside that hide their code and functionality; do not trust, verify.

If its not open source then it's not worth holding your coins.

no hack, no backdoor in 8 years

1 million uses trezor

can be hacked in half an hour

other wallets few hundred thousand sales

cannot be trusted

opensource is easier to attack

coldcard for example has a proprietary secure element where your seed is stored

same for bitbox, has a proprietary secure element

you have to trust a proprietary element.

70 million still use centralized exchanges. the safest, most secure alternative is a multisig wallet. multisig means lots of points of error, to make it really safe you need to depend on other people or companies in a different location. multisig multiplies already sky high bitcoin fees plus fees for the other parties involved.

for the average person ledger is the safest device. because of their track record. finally there is always someone or something you need to trust, which you cannot verify.
