Saint Apostle Andrew the First-Called

A humble fisherman chosen by #JesusChrist to be one of the first apostles. He preached the Gospel far and wide, bringing many to faith and ultimately being crucified for his unwavering devotion. A true #saint of God!

Screen #light, a silent room,

Then from the digital gloom,

An ancient #hymn takes flight,

Filling the #soul with #light.

Not the stone #walls I know,

Where sacred #voices flow.

But echoes, clear and deep,

While modern #currents sweep.

I see the words appear,

To #God, held ever dear.

My #children see the screen,

Where #faith is sometimes seen.

A quiet #wonder starts,

Connecting distant #hearts.

This digital, strange way,

To #praise Him #every #day.

His #grace finds any place,

Shining in digital #space.

A father's #joyful tear,

To find #truth echoing here.

The #dark has fled, a golden ray,

Ushering in this holy day.

I see their faces, still asleep,

Secrets of Lent my heart does keep.

Soon they will rise, their #eyes aglow,

To see the wondrous seeds we sow.

The #icon corner, softly bright,

Reflecting back the Pascha #light.

Through shadows deep, and #cross's weight,

We waited at the #church's gate.

Now trumpets peal, the tomb is bare,

A #victory shared beyond compare.

Khristos Anesti! Hope takes flight!

Healing our souls with glorious might.

My children smile, my #faith is strong,

Where death is vanquished, life belongs.

Our table set with care,

Small hands reach for the bread.

A simple, earthly fare,

But thoughts fly overhead.

To #Church, my #Family we go,

To find the Food divine.

A deeper life to know,

A chalice, bread, and wine.

He is the Living Bread,

Come down from Heaven's height.

The words He spoke are fed,

Our souls with holy light.

I watch my children there,

Kneel humbly, meek and small.

My silent, whispered prayer,

That they embrace His call.

This Mystery profound,

More than this flesh can see.

On consecrated ground,

His life for you and me.
